The phenomenon is actually with most of the countries that are colonized by other countries. The people generally start talking the language of the oppressors and even revere and take pride in it.
It has happened in Pakistan, India, South Africa and South America etc.
We must understand that its just a language. We do *not* have to speak it to be perceived as literate. Just speak Urdu.
In France, people speak french, in Germany people speak German and are proud of it.
Why cannot we speak in Urdu and be proud of it?
